CLIO - OUR NEW STATE OF THE ART CLOUD BASED COMPUTER SYSTEM
We built a successful law practice by providing clients with honest, personal, professional, and cost-effective advice and services. But to stay ahead of the game in our fast paced society, you have to innovate and adopt new technology that directly benefits our clients and the firm. After extensively researching the best way to bring our case management into the 21st century, we adopted Clio as our case management system. It provides bank grade 256-bit SSL encryption combined with enterprise-class data security and redundancy to ensure the safety of sensitive data. Clio allows us to securely and quickly access client and case information anywhere without walking to the file cabinet, pulling out a file, and leafing through it to find what we need. Eric K. Frost, our resident computer expert and document manager, accomplished the daunting task of entering our existing case information as well as our closed files.

NEW EMPLOYEE - MARIA G. PETERSON
We are pleased to announce the addition Maria G. Peterson, a certified paralegal, as a new member of our professional staff. Maria brings a wealth of experience, training and enthusiasm to our team. She has extensive business experience and excellent legal training. A native of Italy, Maria immigrated to the United States over 20 years ago. We know you will enjoy working with her.

Take a Business-like Approach to Custody and Visitation
Instead of arguing over who gets the children on which days, approach these issues like you would approach a business negotiation. Have a plan for what you want for the children and yourself. Figure out the best way to get what you want. If you approach it as a battle, both sides are likely to dig in their heels and be reluctant to talk frankly and compromise. Instead, ask yourself how you should behave when dealing with your ex in order to achieve what you want. Badgering, raising your voice, and repeating the same points are not the road to success. Listening to their side, explaining what is important to you and why, and keeping your focus on your goal - more time with your kids - is likely to yield the best results.
